Fall Rømmegrøt Luncheon ************* watch for info. in August 2008 Rømmegrøt is a cream porridge, served warm with a drizzle of clear butter. Cinnamon sugar is provided on the side. Rømmegrøt is very smooth and rich, making it a treat for special occasions. The menu also includes simple open-face sandwiches (hard salami or assorted cheeses), coffee and cookies. Sometimes there is take-out rømmegrøt for sale if any is leftover. Usually, Rømmegrøt has been served on the last Saturdays in April and September, and at the Christmas Cookie Bake Sale on the first Sat., of December. Volunteers to help set-up, serve and clean-up may contact the church office in advance. Thank you!
Lutefisk & Meatball Supper (November
2008) This is a fundraiser for the church's General Operating Fund. The dinner is served in the church Fellowship Hall (basement level - elevator access).
Saturday, December 6, 2008 11 am to 2 pm The Norwegian Christmas cookies are often sold out very quickly ($6 doz.)- other items for purchase will also be offered (Freddy's lefse, crafts, imported gifts, knit items). Rømmegrøt will be served in the cafeteria corner of the Fellowship Hall, along with coffee and julekage (Christmas fruit bread). No reservations are needed - first come - first serve. |
