The Øyeren Choir was established in 1988, located 19 miles northeast of Oslo – the capital of Norway. In 2008 they are celebrating their twentieth anniversary with a trip to the USA.

The choir counts 110 members, “girls and boys” from 35 to 70. They sing all kinds of music – gospel, popular music and some evergreens. The concert-program is put together by the musical leader/conductor Vidar Kjeldsen, who also arranges all the songs for the choir, so every song is unique.

The choir will have their CD for sale, which contains a varied selection of their songs. The choir will hold concerts in Minneapolis at The Norwegian Lutheran Memorial Church, in Decorah they will attend The Nordic Fest, and also in La Crosse, WI.
