New Year - New Beginning "Goals are dreams with deadlines" (Diana Scharf Hunt) I hope for the near year to be a continuation and a new beginning. We all hope the year 2001 will be good for ourselves and our families, our church and business companies, for America and Norway and so forth. All of us are mainly concerned about health and money, war and peace, and we strive to establish greater safety and prosperity. Our main concern is about children and youth and all the resources and effort we put into the new generation we hope to secure their welfare and to help them have a good life. For Mindekirken the last year went well in many ways. The positive course continued. The new addition added a lot to our convenience . The Congregation Board and the Staff worked hard for further development and improving the congregational life and work. Church members continued to take their responsibilities and took care of many voluntary duties and the money support.Together we took a new step forward. For this reason I hope the new year will be a continuation and a new beginning as well. We still face many challenges; we have to go ahead with our children, youth and family program, with our neighborhood to establish a good relationship to people next to our church, and we have to take further steps in our world- wide mission involvement.I hope the new year will bring a new beginning in some ways. For all of us, a new commitment to the vision of Mindekirken involves a step forward in faith and service for our church family.I also hope for many new members and participants; that many people out there will have a new beginning at Mindekirken. Some of you who left our congregation are welcome back to join us in a unique fellowship and worship. Mindekirken is a creative and living church community in an exciting combination of Norwegian cultural heritage and Christian fellowship. I am looking forward to seeing you at Mindekirken.Together we pray and hope for a new beginning. A new step forward. Happy New Year! Ole Amund Gillebo
