There are many active committees at Mindekirken—but not all of them have international participation like LEIF. The Leiv Eriksson International Festival has representation from the Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian and Swedish communities of the Twin Cities. For next year, the Danish community has also promised to send a representative. The committee meets once every month to plan and arrange this annual Nordic cultural festival. This issue of the Communicator gives you the Festival program for the month.

Seventeen years ago, LEIF was started as a three day cultural, social and church festival. Today it has grown to a full month of worship services, art, music (from classical to old-time), folkdance, lectures and field trips.

The mission of the festival is to promote faith life and cultural heritage from the Nordic countries.
