Thank you to
all who attended the congregation meeting held at Mindekirken on Sunday, June 4.
Robert J. Hanson reported on the behalf of the Call Committee; presenting
Pastor Per Inge Vik from Vatne, Norway as their recommendation for the next
pastor of Mindekirken. I’m pleased
to announce that the congregation voted to extend a Letter of Call to Pastor Vik.
Pastor
Vik will come to us with over 26 years of experience, a love of teaching and
preaching the Word of God and solid sense of the Norwegian culture.
We look forward to having Pastor Vik, his wife Karin Margrete and son
Andreas (16) here sometime this fall. We hope their older children Inger
Elisabeth, Kristian, Lars Martin and his wife Maria will all come to visit soon. Please
join me in extending congratulations and a big thank you to all the members of
the Call Committee! They are: Robert Hanson-chairperson, Kari Torkelson
-secretary, Magne Hatlevik, Anita Kerssen, Darlene Nordos and Hans Sandom. They
were diligent, organized and did an excellent job in working through the call
