Welcome Home! by Cindy Hatlevik We’ve missed our friend and Mindekirken member Marvin Hammer since he suffered a stroke last fall, so we were thrilled when he was able to attend church this last Sunday. He was happy to see us, too! He said the best words he ever heard were when he and his wife Blanche were greeted on their way into church: “Welcome Home!”. You’ve heard the phrase, “Home is where the Heart is”. Where is your heart? A recent new member shared that they decided to join Mindekirken because this was the church where they always found themselves. Whether you’ve been away for awhile or are considering becoming a new member, you are welcome at Mindekirken. In addition to regular Sunday services (the heart of our church), check out the rest of this newsletter for numerous other activities and groups to get involved and meet people. If you haven’t done so yet, talk to any council person about becoming a member or associate member of Mindekirken. Pastor Vik is now scheduling the next new member reception.
