Mindekirken’s
2006 Annual Congregation meeting was held on Sunday January 28 with a quorum of
voting members in attendance. It’s
an important meeting for the church – a yearly summing up of events.
Thank you to everyone who submitted a report on behalf of an event or
organization. The reports are
interesting and give a picture of the active and vibrant church life at
Mindekirken. Consider becoming a
volunteer for one of these great organizations. If you were unable to attend the
meeting, you can still pick up a copy of the annual report at church. One of many
important reports presented was that of the Nominating Committee.
Thank you to everyone who answered the call to serve as a council,
committee member or representative. I’m
pleased to present the members of the 2007 Council (who are featured on the
front page of the March 2007 Communicator).
The new council met for the first time on February 6 for an orientation
and get-together organized by Vice-President Tom Lanman. At the first
council meeting on February 13, the Deacons and Trustees re-elected as their
chairpersons Dorothy Belgum-Knight and Oliver Olson, respectively.
Thank you for agreeing to serve again this year – it is much
appreciated. Please join me in
congratulating all the council members on their election and offer your help in
