History
The History of Klubb 500The History of Klubb 500
In 2000 Mindekirken member Larry Hauge proposed a plan; an endowment fund of $500,000 which would help secure Mindekirken’s financial future. His idea caught the attention of like-minded people and a steering committee was soon organized. The original steering committee’s plan, simply stated:
“One thousand people, each giving $100 per year for five years, equals a total endowment fund of $500,000.”
Thanks to the support of many good friends, we have passed the original goal of $500,000 in contributions and pledges. As a result, Mindekirken Foundation, a 501(C)(3) organization was established in 2010.
Klubb 500 now continues their work as the fundraising arm of Mindekirken Foundation.
