About the event
At this week’s Tuesday Open House, Sonja will be joined by members of the six‑person cast to share a musical preview. She will also offer an inside look at the creative process behind compiling, shaping, and reimagining this adaptation for contemporary audiences.
In honor of the 150th anniversary of the play’s Oslo premiere, pianist Sonja Thompson has crafted a fresh adaptation of Peer Gynt that places Edvard Grieg’s iconic music at the center of the storytelling. This new version features live piano accompaniment and a streamlined dramatic structure that includes - in whole or in part - every movement of Grieg’s score. The full work will be presented on February 24 at MetroNOME Brewery, 7:00 pm. More info & tickets here
