The place of the church in the lives of the immigrants from Norway is today an unknown story. Mindekirken was built to honor the faith of the pioneers. At that time the many accomplishments of the Norwegian Lutheran immigrants were evident to everyone. The lecture will review the faith many of the Norwegian immigrants came with and what they built to teach that faith tradition as they built a Norwegian American culture in the upper Midwest.
